Our Team
Jamauri Bogan
CEO and Founder
Jamauri Bogan is a visionary developer and community leader dedicated to transforming underinvested areas into opportunity-rich neighborhoods. As the first African American developer in the region, he founded Bogan Developments to reimagine housing as a vehicle for empowerment, inclusion, and generational stability.
A former collegiate athlete turned entrepreneur, Jamauri brings the discipline, teamwork, and drive that once defined him on the football field to every project he leads. His leadership philosophy—“build people, and the projects will follow”—guides how Bogan Developments approaches every partnership and every community.
Jamauri’s professional experience includes securing multiple Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) awards for senior, family, and supportive housing developments, as well as spearheading the $4.7 million Zone 32 project in Kalamazoo’s Northside. He also serves on numerous boards, including the Kalamazoo Foundation for Excellence, Western Michigan University Foundation Real Estate Committee, and Kalamazoo Forward Ventures.
