Lighthouse Ridge: Building Brighter Futures

Expanding affordable housing opportunities on Michigan’s Lakeshore.

Lighthouse Ridge is a 52-unit affordable housing development in South Haven Township, developed in partnership between Bogan Developments, Wallick Communities, and Mno-Bmadsen. Located on 13 acres near M-43 and I-196, the project will provide high-quality, affordable rental housing for working families in Van Buren County—an area that has seen limited new affordable housing in recent years.

This collaboration represents Bogan Developments’ first Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) award and its first project outside of Kalamazoo. Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2026 with completion anticipated in September 2027, marking an important milestone in expanding access to affordable housing across Southwest Michigan.

Lighthouse Ridge will feature four residential buildings and a centrally located clubhouse with community gathering space and a playground. Designed to foster a safe, connected environment for residents, the development will provide a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments for families earning qualifying incomes under the LIHTC program.

Wallick Communities, a national leader in affordable housing, serves as the project’s development and management partner. Mno-Bmadsen, the non-gaming investment enterprise of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, contributes ownership and construction administration services. Together with Bogan Developments’ local leadership and community partnerships, Lighthouse Ridge brings a unified effort to address the housing shortage and strengthen the region’s housing infrastructure.
